Currently most monitors use 16bits for colour (65,536 different possible colours).
The human eye can see about 10,000,000.
HDR / True colour is 24bits, 16,777,216 colour variations, which is more than what humans can see.
You should care because it means images on your device will look true to life, especially as screens get brighter materials like gold will look much nicer.

So while your point is that Ukraine is a far-right authoritarian country because it:
- Has a controversial monument to a fascist
- Doesn’t hold elections while being invaded
- Has fascists in its military ranks
The point I’m attempting to make to you, is that all countries have fascists in them. Yes even Russia:

Unfortunately every countries military has nationalistic fascists, some of which use Nazi iconography to display their “pride”. I could find the 1940 Swedish general election (not at war), 1942 Icelandic parliamentary election (occupied by USA), 1943 & 1944 Irish general elections (not at war) as the elections held between Sep 1939 & Sep 1945, the other democratic European country’s I reviewed, elections were either postponed or went uncontested.
Ye, it should always be clarified that while there is no physical / chemical addition, physiological addictions can also be detrimental and hard to break and WILL have negative side affects.
A litmus test I ask, is if someone consumes a lot of something that provides an easy dopamine hit (games, processed sugars, alcohol, etc) and if so warn them them to track their intake and take regular breaks (currently on one myself).
It’s an initiative to stop game companies (EA, Ubisoft, Blizzard etc) from being able to decide if you can play a video game that you’ve bought. The example used is for the video game “The Crew” which was an online-only racing game. After the servers were shutdown by Ubisoft, the game that many people bought became unplayable.
What StopKillingGames wants, is that any company that publishes / develop games provide a way for people who own the game to continue playing it indefinitely. This would most likely come in the form of a game server that could be run by any owner of the game, and shouldn’t be a requirement that publishers / developers run the servers forever as that would be unsustainable.
