I have some friends working on EV fire suppression at another company and they said it’s a cool idea, but in practice is difficult for firefighters to reach. Renault’s is specifically under the back seat, how easy is it going to be to open up a car, potentially move a seat, and connect a hose during a big battery fire?
Seriously, if its already on fire its not gonna be easy to reach
I wonder if this might have been why they shared it. Sort of like “We’ve got an idea that we think is good, but it also clearly needs work”
