Hey man, I was a fat ass with high cholesterol and pre diabetic. I ate keto and cut most carbs from my diet (20mg max a day) and not only did I lose 60lb, my arthritis and back pain disappeared. My cholesterol is at an acceptable levels without medication.

Sugars and carbs are what is unhealthy. Not meats and fats.

When you are fat you need to cut down carbs for a while to allow cells to into burning fat for fuel. Keto diet is a very useful tool to loose weight but not yet proven to be healthy long term. Carbs are not unhealthy if sourced from wholefoods since they will always come with the one very important thing keto diets lack: fiber.

Ya, you can’t eat bad fats. You need clean fats. Not all carbs are made the same. Fructose consumed by real fruits is good.

Fructose consumed by real fruits is good.

Fruits are pretty good because they contain important micronutrients and fibre. But the fructose they contain is still just sugar, and not a whole lot better in its own right than the sugar in lollies and biscuits.

This has lots of potatoes that are high in carbs, so I don’t think it’s keto. Also, everything is healthy in moderation (except stuff like smoking, alcohol) and unhealthy if you eat to much and the keto diet is definitely not for everyone, so be careful making those generalized claims.

When I’m in ketosis, there would be no way I can eat that entire plate in 1 sitting unless I’m working out. That played including the potatos is like 2 meals.

Keto helps you consume less foods since you feel more full. Sugars doesn’t make you feel more full.

Again, I’m happy that worked for you but it is not true for everyone and no claim like “sugar bad, fat good” is ever going to help everyone get more healthy. I myself lost weight by increasing fiber and protein (so many lentils and beans) and decreasing unhealthy snacks. But take my pasta and bread and I will feel unhappy and unmotivated and not move a muscle all day.

A low carb diet high fat does not necessarily give you high ldls, which is what clogs those arteries. Same can be said about sugar, which can be stored as fat and clogs those same arteries. As long as everything is in moderation, there is nothing wrong with eating like a dog on its birthday!

Yeah, but it looks like there’s quite a bit of cheese melted on top of two of those servings of eggs. Plus the potatoes may have been roasted with an unhealthy oil. I agree, everything in moderation. For most meals, this person should stick to one serving of bachelor chow.

I know multiple friends that easily eat that and myb 20-50% more on a regular and are some of the most fit people I know. Ofc they exercise a fuckton and only eating food like this would probably lead to cardiac arrest, but my point is it depends on the person.

Everyone is focusing on the horror of the cholesterol but no one is asking the real question:

What kind of psychopath eats kiwi with eggs??

Good lord, the amount of eggs there. The steak by itself doesnt look like a horrifying amount but thats gotta be like 6-10 eggs in each picture!

I’ll never forget when I worked on industrial solar farms for the power grid, I worked with this absolutely jacked bro that would blast EDM on the overnights when it was too hot to legally work in the daytime.

He would crush like 20 egg whites when we’d go to Denny’s.

Never really understood how that worked into his diet but it worked for him and he was cool as shit.

20 egg whites is only something like 400 calories (100g protein), a totally reasonable amount of protein to get if you were weightlifting and building muscles. little weird to do it all at once though

That probably had more to do with our working conditions tbh. We would work 12-16 hour shifts, frequently flipping between days and overnights due to the heat.

Eating one big meal after working was all you could do sometimes. You’re basically in survival mode. We would also usually split a case of water per day due to sweating so much and staying hydrated.

He would eat like 20 egg whites as well as some other low carb breakfast at Denny’s. Then go work out. Dude was a beast lol.

Arguably people eating like this is a cause of many illnesses, and this is coming from a professional fatass.
