I ran that badboy with no window manager, just text. I used elinks for my web browser and pine for email. VI was where I wrote my papers. Drivers were a problem, so I had to save papers on a disk to print from a computer at a library.

I don’t think their goal is stability. It is elimination. And the same would be true if the situation reversed. So either that’s what eventually happens or a bigger power steps in and rules them like children.

One state, immediately in the state of civil war where one side has access to the most money and the best weapons? I gave up on this idea after seeing the effects of this current war. Either one side will eliminate the other or a bigger country will rule both of them as if they are children incapable of running their own lives. Is there a reasonable plan for peace other than these?

What’s the solution to lasting peace? Restore rule to the Ottomans or British?

I have a little pull in my group of friends. I’ve got 11 kids and I make them use Briar (SMS is removed from the phones) and so their friends end-up getting Briar and then their friends’ parents have also gotten it. So we have a nice little circle of people using it.

Is it possible to skip account creation by installing while not connected to the internet?

I’d consider using them if I didn’t need to use a phone number to register. My friends and family stick with Briar as a result.

I also sort by top six hours but subs related to my profession or religious traditions both get too much outside noise from folks who view posts by ‘all’ and feel welcome to flood subs with comments contrary to the intent of the sub. Active moderation could help but there’s just not good moderation under most subs.

IMO, as much as I dislike Reddit, moderation is terrible here and there’s some niche subs that cannot exist here because of the lack of moderation.

I normally stick with Firefox but, when there’s the need, I use degoogled Chromium.

It might be different with Tesla but most dealerships are independent from the company manufacturing the vehicles. Dealerships typically also run the service shop and have to carry their own insurance.

I wonder if those protesters vandalizing Teslas know this is their big opportunity? Insurance companies insuring auto shops are fewer in number and more selective than those serving the general population. If these trucks were damaged while waiting for repairs, we might witness insurance companies altogether dropping coverage for shops. Without insurance these places will find it difficult to continue existing.

The US will have a democratic election in two years and it is very likely the Democrats will retake the House of Representatives. After that time, everything President Trump tries to do will rapidly decelerate. Of course, that depends on what the Democrats do to win the vote. Right now they are doubling down on the things that made them into losers the last election. They need to get their act together.
