  • I absolutely can’t focus on one person if two are talking about roughly the same thing at the same time. The only way for me to take in any information is unfortunately to apologize to both of them and explain that while I’m glad they both know how to handle the situation I’m asking about, I can’t handle the information overload of both of them explaining it at the same time.

At which point I have to re-ask the same person I asked the first time to explain it.

  • There are always moments in someones life where they have to stop and look around them to see how things have been moving along and if they are moving in a direction which is acceptable. It’s in those moments that one might realize the life they’re living is a bit lopsided in terms of give and take. From there the extrapolation of if being off balance is acceptable to that person given the struggles of those around them is worth continuing down that path. And in the final push of Altruism, a realization that the world will never be balanced and as long as you have enough, then you should do whatever you can do make sure others are brought up to a level of enough to not cause undo suffering.

I am willing to admit that there are a small subsection of people who cannot be appropriately helped as they are unwilling (but completely able) to help themselves, and any efforts to aid them will only make them reliant on the assistance.

  • Wanted kids, got married and careered at the right time to fund kids, then wife had a major mental breakdown after funking out of college, developed schizophrenia, and now has the mentality of a kid. Some days a toddler, some days a high schooler. I’ve been the only household income since marriage year 2, and I can’t afford to deal with a pregnancy from that mental state or be basically a single parent afterward.

I’m considering adoption of teens after I retire and the assumed passing of my wife as she has a small pile of other health issues at this point slowly eating away at her.

  • I pick up every call I’m aware of. Scammers, phishers, polls, and everything else. I love messing with people, and good luck with getting accurate poll results, I have a dice rolling app I use to answer the questions.

It’s even on a schedule for me now. The ‘TV company’ scam calls around 5pm to try me out, polling places seem to be weekend exclusives, and rarely I’ll get a noonish jingle from some other random organization.

About 40% of the scam calls automatically disconnect after 8 seconds, and the rest I get to play with.

  • I played the stock market game in grade school and noticed this one stock, BRKHA that was moving thousands of dollars daily (and was occasionally dipping into the hundreds). Considering the others would only move a fraction of a dollar daily it was a goal to get one share for the game. I did and ended up winning.

I should have tried to pressure my parents into at least one share. By the time I was 18 it would have been worth 70k, and these days it’s up to… Nearly 700k per share.

I would’ve likely sold it on my 18th birthday and been able to languish a bit longer than I did. All in all it wouldn’t have been worth doing.

  • I have had right before. Let’s see what today brings.

Women are very nice to see if there is any more of that

Women are not good for the first time ever.

I think that’s far enough phone. I didn’t even know had my bank info in auto correct. I think it’s time for a flush.
