I’ve found it interesting how people who learned English as a second language tend to use sentence structures and patterns associated with their first language. What are the ways to tell if a German speaker is obviously American or has learned English first, if you know them?

I am and I’m trying to break free. I can work and sustain myself, Adult Protective Services thinks I can’t. Apparently they can show up at my job and get me terminated? FFS I can’t fucking live like everyone else because of what a select few people think. Still living with my first bullies, family. I’m scared that when I move out, APS can remove me and forcibly put me in a group home because they think that’s best for me. All this work to undo what all these facilities did to me for nothing.
