Agreed. It’s a car. I have an entertainment system at home and great speakers for listening. Cars suck for actual listening quality anyways.

100% in agreement with all your points. Simplicity and modular! Look how well the original mustang did, because you could actually get what you wanted. That has disappeared completely now
Some of us live in spread out communities or rural areas. You don’t expect all humans to live in a 2x2 ft cube in a 30 story tall building do you? Also, I guarantee not everyone else wants to live right next to other humans. I try to get as far as possible so I can do anything I want (be loud, be outside at any time, have parties etc). There is actually enough livable land on the planet for every single human to have 2 acres worth. Now, should people have children when there is already billions of us, that’s another question.
Absolute dream. Please build it!!
A 1st ot 2nd gen tacoma would be awesome for this but WATCH FOR FRAME RUST. some of them have major issues here.
German cars can either go 300k miles and be great, or 25k miles and take a crap because their plastic water pump failed (bmw). I’d say they’re very reliable when all preventative maintenance is done. But then so is any car, and most people don’t do preventative maintenance because we are humans.
Keep an eye out for shady things sellers do too, like starting the car before you get there (why wouldn’t they show you a cold start?). Listen very hard for any sounds and ask the owner if they have had it looked at or even noticed it. Ears are a big advantage in car buying. Make sure you don’t notice any shakes or rumbles while driving or turning sharp (bearings=expensive fixes). I won’t recommend brands as other already have, and I’m too into weird cars to offer a normal opinion.
Everyone I know is like this. They love the corpos because their stuff is shiny and easy, and shoved in their face so they don’t have to learn anything. They have no clue how to use anything that isn’t Apple music, discord. Instagram, Snapchat etc. All garbage.
I’m still gonna have to dual boot for the foreseeable future, but I force myself to usually boot mint unless I want to play any vr/multiplayer/racing games (which is often, unfortunately). But I do really enjoy how much you can do in linux and learning it.
Yep seems common among that age
Yet my libertarian centrist friend INSISTS that AI is great for humanity. I keep telling him the billionaires don’t give a fuck about you and he keeps licking boots. How many others are like this??
Can confirm. Made many sparkler/aerosol can boom.booms
Do you guys also keep a notepad file on your desktop with all the usual commands and shortcuts on it? I can’t imagine remembering them all otherwise… and I kind of cringe at the non stop DDG ing I have to do to do some basic liux stuff.
Right, and subaru stupidly quit making the wrx wagon in 2014, no idea why. There’s also the appeal of early 2000s gm, dirt cheap and easy to fix. Like an 03 Tahoe. Just not good on gas. You can find some of those in an I5 though which is cool.
That’s true. If you are only working to enrich your boss by shipping. 02% more packages per day, it’s degrading. However we all have to work to live, I believe in working hard no matter the job, and if the job sucks, become irreplaceable, then find something better.
I keep saying this. As if humans aren’t dumb enough and lazy as hell without AI… I’ve met maybe 1 younger person out of hundreds that actually shows interest in learning and work ethic (the good kind, not boomerism). I’m not even old, but it’s looking like a dark road for humans. Now Fuck You, this is Carl’s Jr!
They don’t realize it’s the big shiny companies that are actually scamming them and stealing their data.
In complete agreement. I hate crossovers so much.
Have you looked at this wagons or Volvo wagons ? Or just a good old tacoma or tundra long box ?
This is why I go the extra mile to keep iot out of my life. Especially in cars , which is getting hard, but I figure my future cars I’ll likely retrofit something old. Newest I’ll tolerate is 2014, with no touchscreen.
I actually enjoy talking with others on here. My worldview has expanded because of it.
