But you seriously thought a fascist dictatorship was an acceptable alternative?0·6 months agoMissouri passed a $15 minimum wage law that goes into effect in 2026, and voted to keep abortion legal. Missouri also in general voted for Trump.
People are not the issue. Americans are mostly in favor of a lot of progressive policies. Democrats however failed to package and frame those in a way that would swing voters, however.
I will never stop blaming the Democratic party over the American people.

Did you listen to her DNC speech, where she insisted on having the strongest military in America’s history, not mentioning Palestinians plight in Gaza and the West Bank, and promising to have a Republican in her cabinet?
Harris actively chased after the right and their voting base right up to election day. Democrats did nothing to counter Trump. If they had, they would have actually followed through on the Tim Walz pick and promulgated actual, progressive policies to win over the self-interest of their base.
Harris using a stick to get her base to vote was not enough. People need carrots. Her campaign was utter shit man.
Resonosity@lemmy.worldto Comic Strips@lemmy.world•Yes, their platform was weak. But you seriously thought a fascist dictatorship was an acceptable alternative?0·6 months agoThe most consequential issue for voters this past election was the economy. People are feeling inflation, whether that’s through food prices, rent prices, or all of the above.
Harris didn’t campaign to that. Instead, she catered to families with children - a diminishing subsect of society - and small businesses. Yes she advocated for a first time home subsidy, but no young person believes they’ll truly have enough money to own a home in their lifetime.
Harris ignored the working class. And so they ignored her. Plain and simple. A political party has to fix its constituents’ problems, or at least lie about it. She did neither.
Stop making this about voters.
Resonosity@lemmy.worldto Comic Strips@lemmy.world•Yes, their platform was weak. But you seriously thought a fascist dictatorship was an acceptable alternative?0·6 months agoFor most voters, that concession was too little too late. Effectively, her campaign still didn’t support a ceasefire nor cease of arms transfers.
Actually China is leading the planet on renewables deployment.
I haven’t combed through the data in a minute, but I want to also say that they’re also leading in fossil fuel deployment too. Probably is due to their population size than anything else.
Don’t worry though: America can’t stand that China is doing better than them at something, so we’re going to try to punish them and frame them as the bad guys since America can be the only one espousing leadership, not the Big Bad East.

With Dems we’re delaying this outcome. With Repubs we’re accelerating it.

Although the phone isn’t sold in the US, it will work the best on T-Mobile since the Fairphone 5’s chipset best aligns with those frequencies (sorry for the reddit post).
Would’ve been my first phone after my previous 7 year old Galaxy Note9, but it incurred water damage. Definitely considering it still though even with my new phone lease because of the Fairphone 5 being unlocked
I guess it comes down to whether we want to primarily communicate battery size in terms of charge (Coulombs = Amps * Time) or energy (Joules = Watts * Time).
The first metric you multiply by your operating voltage to get the second metric, whereas the second metric you have to divide by your voltage to get the first. Depends on what comes easier to most people.

There are some 600+ current chemical-based battery technologies out there.
Hell for me, once sodium is cracked, that shit is so abundant that production wouldn’t have many bottlenecks to get started.
Exactly. If people reading this don’t see the moral disconnect here, think back to how the US administration handled the southern border and the influx of immigrants a few years ago. Children were taken from families without any regard for keeping said families together. It’s devastating no matter the species it happens to.
Imagine not using NewPipe, which has no ads and can play music in the background while you use other apps simultaneously (Samsung only feature I’ve heard, but still)
