  • Correct me if I’m wrong, my knowledge of this history is iffy at best,

Iirc, Early Judaism wasn’t monotheistic like it, Christianity, and Islam are now.

The people at the time had multiple gods, one of which was a minor god associated with storms. At some point this god was boosted into popularity and became the primary god of the old testament and eventually THE god of the 3 Religions.

The line being written like this could be a holdover from this extremely early culture which was initially Polytheistic.

OR it’s just a funky translation and just ment to mean “Don’t worship someone as a God like their any better than me.THE God.”

  • French has the fleur De lies which, although it was a symbol of French royalty is still used on the flag of Quebec and some places in Canada identify the French language option with the flag of Quebec.

Realistically, the best option would just be a shorted abbreviation of the language in that language. Ex. Eng for English and deu for German

  • When I was visiting Paris, a tour bus we got on had a audio guide, the languages were all labeled with national flags.

English -> UK flag French -> flag of France Spanish -> Flag of Spain Portuguese -> Flag of Brazil

Even in Europe Portugal plays second fiddle for it’s own language

  • I like the transparent windows, but I’d use Rosé Pine Moon or Nord for the colours. A nice landscape for the background (currently a pic of Dark Souls 3 Boreal Valley) and a little bit of gaps, very minal borders, and a transparent waybar up top with desktop workspace indicator, time, and a few other things.

Well, games are all individual people with their own views and opinions. The one thing in common is gaming.

I’m sure plenty of gamers hate Microsoft for plenty of reasons including that, but in those cases their not gamers, they’re pro-Palestinians. Just ones that also happen to like games but that isn’t relevant to that discussion.

  • In fairness, when you’re used to windows those kinds of warnings basically mean nothing to you.

It’s like when you hit snooze on an alarm so many times that you just sleep through your alarm and it becomes background noise.

Also, it’s defiantly a glaring issue if installing steam means uninstalling your whole DE.

Still, as a tech YTer who was exploring something out of his elements he should have looked into every error, warning, and message.
